Integrating web fonts with Photoshop

A few months ago Adobe and Typekit announced that font syncing would be coming soon through Creative Cloud and their Typekit service. As of yesterday the roll out has begun and I am definitely looking forward to gaining access to this tool.

I’ve been using Typecast (browser based typesetting tool) actively for the better part of a year and have struggled at times duplicating the type I set in the browser inside Photoshop without purchasing desktop versions of fonts. I’m excited about the prospect of integrating the work I do in the browser with the work I show clients in Photoshop. This should be a big workflow improvement.

On top of Adobe’s announcement, fonts.com has also released a Photoshop extension to integrate web fonts from fonts.com into Photoshop. What an exciting week for web fonts and workflow!
